Wrinkles are a part of our ageing process and are natural for any one. But they range from simple to extreme basing on certain skin conditions, health and lifestyle. Wrinkles may be caused due to varying reasons. When we know the exact cause, we get the suitable remedy.
Reasons for wrinkles:-
Wrinkles are not only caused due to ageing. They may also be prematurely appeared on someone’s skin. Though there are various reasons, the most common causes are the following:-
1)Ageing:- As we age, our skin’s inner layer called the dermis gets more thinner. This causes the skin’s elasticity to vanish gradually. The structure of the skin cells get disturbed and damaged. Due to ageing of skin, the ability to retain moisture gets reduced. The skin’s natural oils gradually disappears. The skin’s healing process is also lost to a great extent. All these things contribute and accelerate the formation of wrinkles.
2)Muscle Contractions:- All those deep wrinkles like frown line, crow’s feet, smile lines and many other commonly formed wrinkles are formed due to habitual facial expressions. The facial muscle contractions are responsible for the progressive formation of fine lines and wrinkles and on the other hand our habitual expressions are contributing and making them look prominent.
3)Sun Damage:- Getting skin exposed to extreme sun regularly makes the skin cells get damaged faster and causes premature wrinkles. The harsh rays of the sun reduces the skin’s ability to retain moisture and makes the skin saggy and dry. Healing becomes a greater deal if the skin gets sun damaged.
4)Smoking:- Smoking curtails the skin’s ability to produce collagen. Due to this the skin’s structure gets damaged and it’s elasticity gets lost. This paves way to the formation of wrinkles.
5)Alcohol and Caffeine:- Alcohol and caffeinated beverages are also highly responsible in affecting the skin’s structure. These habits reduce the skin’s immunity and affects the production of collagen. Due to this cell structure gets damaged giving effect to wrinkles.
While these are the common reasons, wrinkles can also be formed due to heredity or the amount of skin pigments.
How To Reduce Wrinkles and Look Younger:-
Simple lifestyle changes can effectively delay the formation of wrinkles. The way you sleep, the rate of your frowning or other expressions, daily habits and other things affects the skin structure. If you take care of all these things, you can be successful in delaying the ageing process of skin.
Wrinkles can be of two categories: deep furrows or fine surface lines. Another worrying type of wrinkles is the cellulite, generally formed on hips and buttocks. Usually most of the wrinkles are due to ageing that bother many women. These wrinkles may be ameliorated by way of two basic steps: prevention or removal.
Certain ways to prevent wrinkles and slow down ageing are as follows:-

3)Avoid smoking:- Research shows that smoking releases an enzyme that breaks up the collagen and elastin of the skin and damages the cells thereby triggering the ageing process. Avoid smoking to prevent damage to cell structure and delay the ageing.
4)Get adequate sleep:- When you don-t get adequate sleep, your body produces excess cortisol, a harmone that breaks down skin cells. Getting adequate sleep makes the body produce sufficient HGH (Human Growth Hormone) which heals the skin and makes the skin thick and elastic. This is no doubt an excellent idea to control wrinkles.
